A pair of Fort Dodge firefighters tend to Haven Sherrick, 21, of Fort Dodge after she was involved in an accident Friday afternoon at Sixth Avenue North and North 25th Street in Fort Dodge. According to Fort Dodge Police Sgt. Dan Charlson, Sherrick was eastbound on Sixth Avenue North in her 2006 Ford Taurus when a silver 2005 Pontiac Montana, also east bound, driven by Aaron Schafer, 43, of Eagle Grove, turned left in front of her from the righthand lane of the two-lane one-way street onto North 25th Street. An 11-year-old male was transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. No citations were issued.
