Webster County Fair open class results
The Open Class Baking Show of the 2016 Webster County Fair was held July 16.
Best of Show in the Adult Division was awarded to: Angie Peterson for her Maple Pecan Ring. Allie Lansman won Reserve Best of Show with her Maple Brown Sugar Chiffon Cake.
Best of Show in the Youth Division was awarded to Kara McGonegle, age 10, for her Brownies. Alexis Stuhrenberg, age 15, won Reserve Best of Show with her Rossenmunner Cookies.

Webster County Fair Open Class Flower Show Results
The Webster County Fair Open Class Flower Show was held July 16. Entries were received from 8 am to 10 am and judging began at 10:30 am.
The judge for this year’s show was Sandy Quam from Jefferson. An excellent selection of Horticulture and Designs were on display for the public to see from 10 am to 4 pm. Results of the judging follows:
Division winners were: Roses – Bev Longnecker; Annuals – Shirley Wolf; Perennials & Biennials – Pam Gollob; Bulbs & Tubers – Lorretta Daisy; Cactus & Succulents – Rita Milberger; Container Grown: Flowering – Nancy Spire; Shrubs & Trees – Eleanor DenHartog.

The Open Class Quilt Show of 2016 was held during the Webster County Fair.
Best of Show was awarded to Kitty Nilles of Fort Dodge. Ann Steele of Fort Dodge, received Reserve Best of Show. The “Judge’s Choice Award” was given to Barb Martin of Vincent.

The Open Class Garden Show of the 2016 Webster County Fair was held July 16.
There were eight exhibitors in the Adult Category and two youth exhibitors. 33 blue and 5 red ribbons were awarded in the adult classes. 2 blue and 3 red ribbons were awarded in the youth classes.
