New Kwik Star opens in Webster City
WEBSTER CITY — Webster City’s second Kwik Star convenience store, at 1515 Overpass Drive, is open for business.
It is currently in the middle of its Grand Opening week that continues through Sunday, October 13.
Traffic at the new store has been brisk, according to Assistant Store Leader Jaxon Myers.
Customers are drawn in by the specials or merely out of curiosity and a desire to check out the new business in town, he said.
The store is led by Store Leader Nicole Hendrickson and Myers, as well as a team of guest service co-workers and food service co-workers.
The new Kwik Star offers a wide range of goods and services from baked goods, chicken, sandwiches and pizza, produce, and dairy products.
According to Myers, of Fort Dodge, the Grand Opening has been very positive.
“It’s been great. We’ve had a lot of leaders from other stores, different districts come together, put everything together, and then we’ve just kind of been going at it ever since.”
When asked how people were reacting to the new store, Myers said, “Oh, they love it. Especially, this is more of a neighborhood store, so a lot of the people are close by. We see them once, twice, two to three times a day. So it’s kind of nice; it helps them, they love it. We’re loving it here.”
Myers said that there have been many hot ticket items that have been popular this week. The store has been offering food items for $1 throughout the week.
They even have some free beverages this week with designated sizes for fountain drinks and hot drinks, limit one per visit.
Area residents may have noticed a coupon for an elite car wash for $7.99. However, according to Myers, it was decided to forego the planned car wash for the new location. He said the Kwik Star location at 505 Fair Meadow Drive will honor the coupons at their car wash.
One last thing mentioned by Myers is there are some giveaways this week, including the opportunity to enter to win free gas for a year (10 gallons per week for 52 weeks).
