Columnist David Kruse to speak at Ag Show

David Kruse, president of CommStock Investments and weekly Farm News columnist will provide an update on immigration policy, trade when he takes to the stage at the Farm News Ag Show on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 10:30 a.m. – noon.

Kruse’s presentation, titled America first, agriculture last will give a review of pending trade agreements including an update on the United States–Mexico–Canada agreement; trade with Japan and the European Union as well as the tariff situation with China

“It will be an overall trade outlook,” he said. “Essentially, I will be looking at the different demand engine that support our prices, where the livestock industry is in as far as a state of expansion, where the ethanol industry is and exports so we can get all three components of demand for our corn and soybeans.”

Kruse is president of CommStock Investments, his Northwest Iowa agricultural risk management company that provides an umbrella of services. They include commodity market brokerage and commodity market advisory services, crop insurance through Agrivantage LLC, and a managed bushels grain marketing program through Agri-Plus LLC.
