CNOS/UnityPoint Health welcomes Wilson as PA

CNOS Orthopaedics in Fort Dodge proudly welcomes Physician Assistant, Grant Wilson to our team of providers. Wilson comes to CNOS from UnityPoint Health — Fort Dodge and joins Dr. Richard Lawton in his orthopaedic surgical practice. Wilson holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Buena Vista University and a master’s degree in PA studies at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.

Johnson, Doyle selected to “Crash” credit union convention

Two local young credit union professionals were selected to attend the Iowa Credit Union Convention in Des Moines last month through the Iowa Credit Union League’s CRASHER program. Miriah Johnson, Human Resources Assistant at Citizens Community Credit Union, and Chelsey Doyle, Member Service Specialist at Fort Dodge Family Credit Union, were among the 19 participants selected to “crash” this year’s convention. Hindman, Lanning honored at Iowa Credit Union Convention

Two Fort Dodge area residents were among five credit union leaders honored at the Iowa Credit Union Convention in Des Moines last month for their significant contributions to the credit union movement and impact on the financial lives of Iowans. Kelly Hindman, of Fort Dodge, received the 2019 Volunteer Cooperative Spirit Award in recognition of outstanding commitment and leadership through his service on the Board of Directors of Citizens Community Credit Union. CJ Bio America wins team achievement award

The fermentation team at CJ Bio America won the 2019 CJ America ONLYONE Team Achievement Award. The ONLYONE award recognizes employees and teams that have made significant contributions to CJ businesses and to the organization’s culture. The fermentation team competed for the award against CJ affiliates in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Curt Lehman, the fermentation team manager traveled to Los Angeles in August to attend the ONLYONE Award ceremony. He accepted the award on behalf of the fermentation team.

Drew steps into new role at Friendship Haven

Brittany Drew recently began her new role as Friendship Haven’s Welcome Center/Gift Shop coordinator. Drew joined Friendship Haven in July. The newly created position will evolve and modify over time to best fit the needs of residents. Drew, a native of Rockwell City, is responsible for managing Welcome Center volunteers and support staff, creating a positive first impression of campus and running the Pocket Door boutique. Drew has over nine years of experience in long-term care, formerly in a marketing capacity. Drew and her husband, Levi, have a young son, Deacon.

Derrig returns to Friendship Haven as controller

Mindy Derrig has accepted the role as controller and returned to the Friendship Haven campus in August. Derrig’s responsibilities include preparing month-end and financial statements as well as the annual budget. Additionally, Derrig oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. Other tasks include handling the year-end audit and reviewing annual cost reports and tax returns.
