Two Fort Dodge area residents were among five credit union leaders honored at the Iowa Credit Union Convention in Des Moines last month for their significant contributions to the credit union movement and impact on the financial lives of Iowans.

Kelly Hindman, of Fort Dodge, received the 2019 Volunteer Cooperative Spirit Award in recognition of outstanding commitment and leadership through his service on the Board of Directors of Citizens Community Credit Union.

August “Augie” Lanning, of Slifer, received the 2019 Heritage Award for his lifetime achievements showing outstanding service, commitment and leadership in the credit union movement. Lanning is a member of Fort Dodge Family Credit Union’s Board of Directors.
