Mindy Derrig has accepted the role as controller and returned to the Friendship Haven campus in August.

Derrig’s responsibilities include preparing month-end and financial statements as well as the annual budget.

Additionally, Derrig oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.

Other tasks include handling the year-end audit and reviewing annual cost reports and tax returns.

Derrig, a Fort Dodge native, returns to Friendship Haven after previously holding the position from August 2014 to December 2018.

Since returning, Derrig plans to take on more responsibilities than she previously held. Eventually, she will be digging deeper into processes and analytics, especially when budget issues arise.
