Ernst honors Humboldt business

Hy-Capacity, a Humboldt County business, has been recognized by U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst. Ernst, a Republican who serves on the Senate Small Business Committee, has been recognizing a Small Business of the Week with the goal of honoring one in all 99 Iowa counties. Hy-Capacity was founded by James “Scratch” Olson in 1978 in Pocahontas as a remanufacturer of agricultural equipment. Carlson added to Iowa Central staff

Danielle Carlson has joined the staff at Iowa Central Community College as a secretary of student records. Carlson is a Fort Dodge native and a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School. She has previously been employed with HyVee/HyVee Drugstore, HyVee Vision Center and Wolfe Clinic.

She is also a member of the Fort Dodge Community School District Board of Education.
