Decker earns IMTA awards

The 2019 IMTA Management Conference was held on Sept. 25 in Des Moines.

Professionals and companies were recognized for their outstanding efforts related to safety, maintenance, operations and professionalism during the IMTA Awards and Leadership dinner.

Decker was represented by the following Category Nominees:

Fleet Safety Award — Decker Truck Line, Inc.

Safety Professional — Jennifer Lawler (unable to attend)

Fleet Maintenance Professional — Matt Lynch

Fleet Maintenance Operations –Decker Truck Line, Inc.

Outstanding Professional Drivers — Dale Leman, Steve Alliger

Master Truck Driver — Dean Filmer

Dispatcher Professional — Greg Tackett (unable to attend)

Steve Alliger, Professional Truck Driver, was named IMTA Outstanding Professional Driver of the Year. In April, Decker Truck Line awarded Alliger with Grand Champion Driver of the Year for 2018. He participated in the Iowa Truck Driving Championships in mid-June. Following in July, Don Decker, JX Truck Center and Peterbilt Motors Company presented Alliger with Decker’s 2,500th Peterbilt truck.

Decker received the Fleet Safety Award.
