The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Fort Dodge recently received the InterContinental Hotels Group 2018 Quality Excellence Award.

The award is given to those hotels that have achieved the highest levels of excellence based on guest satisfaction surveys.

The Fort Dodge Holiday Inn Express and Suites is one of only 168 properties selected from the company’s more than 2,700 Holiday Inn Express’s in recognition of overall quality excellence.

It is the second year in a row that the hotel has received the award.

In 2016, the hotel was awarded the IHG Newcomer Award, which is given to properties that are considered the best additions to the IHG family of hotels.

Amy Travis is the general manager of the Fort Dodge Holiday Inn Express, which opened in November 2014.

“We feel extremely honored to be recognized three years in a row by IHG and our guests for our commitment to world class customer service,” Travis said. “We love what we do and we’re glad that it shows. On behalf of our dedicated team we would like to thank all the local businesses and events in our area that bring each one of our amazing guests to Fort Dodge. We couldn’t do what we do without them.”
