Harvest Festival will feature bake sale, cake walk

St. Paul Lutheran Church and school will host a Harvest Festival Nov. 6 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. In previous years, St. Paul has held potluck meals or turkey dinners to celebrate the harvest but this year, they decided to hold a larger event.

“With COVID, people aren’t gathering as much and we wanted to make a time to gather and a time to celebrate,” said Deb Dreyer, of St. Paul.

The event is open to the entire community.

“Our hope for the Harvest Festival is just an opportunity for us to not only to bring our congregation together, but also to make an impact in the community,” said Rev. Kendall Meyer.

There will be several different vendors, a bake sale and cake walk, fall-themed crafts, bingo, and games and a bounce house for kids.

Admission to the games and bounce houses is a flat $5 per child.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to come over and just enjoy being a part of the things that will be available, experience some different foods, and a chance for the kids to have fun too” said Meyer.

They will be serving a meal for $10 per person from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. of brats, sauerkraut, BBQ pork, beans, chips, and dessert. There will also be pizza and pop available to purchase separately.
