Our Saviour’s Lutheran Christmas fair is today

CALLENDER — Women of the Word at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Callender, are holding its annual Christmas fair from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today in the church fellowship hall. There will be a bake sale, lefse sale and lunch. Beef burgers or chicken salad in a Krumkake bowl with salads, cookies and Scandinavian pastries will be served for $10. The fellowship hall is handicap accessible through the north or south doors.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas to meet Thursday, RSVP requested

CDA Court 216 will hold a very special Christmas celebration hosted by court officers on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. at the Corpus Christi Center, 405 N. Eighth St., with social time and dinner. First Covenant Choir presents Christmas cantata Dec. 13 and 14

The First Covenant Choir, a 40-member group of vocalists at First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H, will present a Christmas cantata, “There’s a New Star” at 5 p.m. on Dec. 13, and 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 14 at the church. Come and be blessed as you journey with the singers, first to the birthplace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and as we conclude this beautiful cantata with the challenge to witness to all the message of salvation.

Clarion holiday tour of homes is Dec. 14

CLARION — The Clarion Parks and Rec Committee is holding Clarion holiday tour of homes fundraiser to improve the parks at 4 p.m. on Dec. 14. Tickets are $45 per person and include home tours, progressive appetizers and silent auction. The tour begins at The Bru, 215 Sixth St. S.W., Clarion. There will be a cocktails and silent auction at 4 p.m., welcome, announcements and assignments at 4:45 p.m., the tour of homes begins at 5 p.m. and participants will reconvene at 7:30 p.m. at The Bru for silent auction, voting and prizes. Coffee and Conservation is Dec. 13

Webster County Conservation is holding Coffee and Conservation at 10 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. Each month there will be an informal discussion about a variety of conservation/recreation topics in Webster County. Coffee and light snacks will be provided. The topic is wintering birds. Learn all about Iowa’s wintering birds, setting up wintering bird stations for success and the importance of food plots.

The Pub & Grub Comedy Tour at Fort Dodge Opera House Dec. 13

The Pub & Grub Comedy Tour is coming to the Fort Dodge Opera House, 1 Museum Road, at 8 p.m. on Dec. 13. Seating is at 7 p.m. The show stars comedian Derek Luna and co-satrs comedian Katie Still.
