FDPL adult board game night is Monday

The Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., is holding board games for adults from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in the large meeting room. There will be a wide varietty of both classic and new board and card games, but those attending are welcome to bring their own game also. With plenty of games to choose from (and tables for multiple games at once), there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. The game nights will be held the third Monday of every month. The Pub & Grub Comedy Tour at Fort Dodge Opera House today

The Pub & Grub Comedy Tour is coming to the Fort Dodge Opera House, 1 Museum Road, at 8 p.m. today. Seating is at 7 p.m. The show stars comedian Derek Luna and co-stars comedian Katie Still. Tickets at the door are $25. VIP tables for eight are available for $200. For mature audiences only.

Coffee and Conservation is today

Webster County Conservation is holding Coffee and Conservation at 10 a.m. today at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. Each month there will be an informal discussion about a variety of conservation/recreation topics in Webster County. Coffee and light snacks will be provided. The topic is wintering birds. Learn all about Iowa’s wintering birds, setting up wintering bird stations for success and the importance of food plots.

Clarion holiday tour of homes is Sunday

CLARION — The Clarion Parks and Rec Committee is holding Clarion holiday tour of homes fundraiser to improve the parks at 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $45 per person and include home tours, progressive appetizers and silent auction. The tour begins at The Bru, 215 Sixth St. S.W., Clarion. There will be a cocktails and silent auction at 4 p.m., welcome, announcements and assignments at 4:45 p.m., the tour of homes begins at 5 p.m. and participants will reconvene at 7:30 p.m. at The Bru for silent auction, voting and prizes. First Covenant Choir presents Christmas cantata today and Sunday

The First Covenant Choir, a 40-member group of vocalists at First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H, will present a Christmas cantata, “There’s a New Star” at 5 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church. Come and be blessed as you journey with the singers, first to the birthplace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and as we conclude this beautiful cantata with the challenge to witness to all the message of salvation.

Blanden holiday open house is Dec. 13

The Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S, is holding its holiday open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 13. There will be art, music and community. Jacob Pedersen will perform at 5 p.m. and Amy Champagne will perform at 6 p.m.
