Celebrate Library Lovers’ Month with adult coloring at FDPL

Come celebrate Library Lovers’ Month with other creative and fun people at the Fort Dodge Public Library. Our next adult coloring sessions are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Library’s large meeting room. We have hundreds of coloring sheets to choose from and coloring supplies available for your use. If you are a long-time coloring fan feel free to bring your own supplies/projects and enjoy the company. FD Federated Garden Club to meet Feb. 17

The Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive. Michael Oberg from Becker’s will be presenting the new “Picks” for annual and perennial flowers for 2026. The public is welcome. There will be a light dessert at 1 pm with the program to follow.

Historial Society to hold open house

The Webster County Historical Society will hold an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 17 in Room 143 at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. The theme for the open house is to honor past politicians that came from Fort Dodge and the Webster County area.

Lehigh Methodist Church Second Sunday Soup Supper

LEHIGH — The Lehigh Methodist Church will have its Second Sunday Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday. This month we will be serving a variety of soups. We expect to have at least five different kinds of soup. There will also be desserts and drinks. The cost is a freewill donation.

Adult Winter Reading Challenge at the Fort Dodge Public Library

The Fort Dodge Public Library is having an Adult Winter Reading Challenge this year. The challenge runs through Feb. 28. Pick up reading logs at the library and turn them in for a chance to win weekly prize drawings from Dariette/Ardys Mae Coffee and Dessert, Stella’s Coffee Bar, and Bloomers Coffee. NW Iowa League of Cities announces high school senior scholarships

The Northwest Iowa League of Cities announces its High School Senior Scholarship Program. High school seniors in Northwest Iowa League member communities pursuing post-secondary education or training in fields that may lead to city government careers — like public administration, water/wastewater, law enforcement, firefighting, EMS, city planning, public engineering, and more are eligible.
