The Kossuth County Genealogical Society and the Algona Affiliate of AAUW will be hosting their 14th annual cemetery walk during Founders’ Day weekend in Algona. An indoor version will be presented at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Tietz Entrepreneurial Center meeting room on the Algona campus of Iowa Lakes Community College, 2111 Highway 169 North in Algona. Enter under the blue canopy on the south side. This venue is handicapped accessible, air-conditioned and bug free. The public is invited to attend. There is no admission charge.

Federated Garden Club to meet

The Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on July 21 at the Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive, Fort Dodge. The program will be on Honey by Stripling Apiaries. The public is always welcome to attend.

Stay cool this summer and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of coloring at the Fort Dodge Public Library. Adults and teens are invited to join us from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the library’s Large Meeting Room. Choose from hundreds of coloring pages, and use the library’s selection of coloring supplies. Vacation Bible school is Tuesday through Friday

St. Olaf Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church are partnering to hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday for ages 6 to 12 years old. The theme is “Lego and Trust God.” There will be an Option Fellowship Camp until 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Lunch will be provided to those staying. On Friday, it will end at 12 p.m. with a block party. Family members are invited to attend. The cost is by freewill donation. It is being held at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 239 N. 11th St.
