Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and Sewing Group will hold a quilt, craft and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church, 1023 S. 27th St.. Lunch menu includes sloppy joes, chips, bars and drinks, available for a freewill donation.
LEHIGH — Lehigh United Methodist Church will hold its Second Sunday Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the church, 386 Spencer Hill St., Lehigh. The menu includes a variety of soups (chili, vegetable, chicken noodle, broccoli cheddar), salad, dessert and drink for a freewill offering. Dine in or carry out.
HARCOURT — The Harcourt Public Library will hold a polymer ghost craft workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the library, 106 W. Second St. Participants will mold two ghosts, bake them and then decorate them with decoupage. There is a $5 charge for materials.
FONDA — The Fonda Arts Center will host a fundraiser and food drive from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. This event, co-sponsored by MAGS 4 Fonda, will feature Classic Country Music performed by Dan Keen of Newell, and Gloria and Randy Mobley and Larry Heschke of Fonda. Music will start at 2 p.m. Food donations should be non-perishable items, and monetary donations are also appreciated. All this is happening on the northwest corner of Fourth and Main in Fonda, where admission is free and refreshments complimentary.
POMEROY — Michael Charles and his band will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Byron’s, 112 S Main St., Pomeroy. Charles is in the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame under the “Master Blues Artist” category, a 10 time Grammy-elected artist and a long-time touring artist performing at Byron’s in Pomeroy for almost two decades.
