Rosemary McCurdy

Rosemary McCurdy, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 85th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Celebration Center at Friendship Haven, 420 Kenyon Road.

Her family includes Dr. Sheryl McCurdy and Dr. Greg Maddox, of Houston, Texas; Terry and Terry Emma McCurdy, of Geneva, Illinois; Karen and Scott Kirchner, of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Mary Kay and Alan Savitz of Macungie, Pennsylvania. She has 11 grandchildren. Her husband Harold and son Daniel are deceased.

Rosemary Korte was born Aug. 8, 1934, on a farm near Howells, Nebraska. She attended country school in Nebraska and Fonda. She graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel, Fonda. She worked at Fort Dodge Telephone and Randalls and with her husband at McCurdy TV.
