Joyce Gadbury

KNIERIM — Joyce Gadbury, of Knierim, will celebrate her 95th birthday with an open house from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at First Covenant Church, Fort Dodge.

Her family includes Donna and Jerry Pinczkowski, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Janna and James Graham, of Webster City; Allan and Janet Gadbury, of Otho; Georgia Gumm, of Fort Dodge; Lyle and Kathi Gadbury, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Carol Heinlen and her boyfriend Jeep, of Rockwell City; and Karen and Mike Reed, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has 25 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Donald J. Gadbury; daughter, Sharon Stuart; and son-in-law, Dan Gumm, are deceased.

Joyce Akselson was born April 21, 1924, in Fort Dodge. She was the city clerk of Knierim for 33 years, retiring at the age of 89.
