Ivan Henrichs

PIONEER — Ivan Henrichs, of Pioneer, will celebrate his 80th birthday on Thursday. His family will be having a come and go card shower for him from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at his home, 309 Main St., Pioneer.

His family includes his wife of 52 years, Jo Anne Henrichs; John Henrichs of Pioneer’; and Jeni Read, of Fort Dodge. He has four grandchildren. His son, Jamie Henrichs, passed away in 1997.

He was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Pioneer, where he has lived his entire life. He is the mayor of Pioneer and has held this position for many years. He has also worked a variety of jobs, along with operating his salvage yard in Pioneer for more than 50 years.
