Vote Tommy Coleman for county supervisor

To the editor: Tom Coleman will absolutely flourish in the role of county supervisor. He’s value and character driven. As I raise my kids and watch them develop their individual relationships with their peers, I hope they have friendships as close and loyal as I have with my friend Tommy. I remember, very well, when we were younger and learning how to drive, Tommy explaining to me, that he avoids bumps and dips in the road as he wants to make sure his passengers had the smoothest ride possible while he’s in the driver’s seat. He has always, put others first in everything he ...

Supports Coleman for county supervisor

To the editor: I want to go on record as endorsing Tommy Coleman for Webster County supervisor. Tommy has worked hard to understand the opportunities and needs of county residents by attending supervisor meetings and community discussions. He has demonstrated willingness to listen to the concerns of the public and has offered well-thought-out answers to their questions. As a life long resident of the county with extensive business and farming experience, he is well prepared to step into the seat at the supervisors’ table. He is willing and able to put in the long hours needed ...

Supports Conrad in supervisor race

To the editor: Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, voting for Niki Conrad to continue as our District 4 Webster County supervisor is an easy choice—for so many reasons. She has proven herself to be authentic, personable, easily accessible, transparent, an empathetic listener, and an energetic problem solver. When she doesn’t immediately have an answer for a constituent, she digs in and does the research, and gets back to anyone who has the pleasure of interacting with her. Also, has anyone else noticed how well she works with the other supervisors—even when they have to ...

Encourages voting for Hayek

To the editor: I am writing to encourage you to consider Austin Hayek for Webster County supervisor. Austin is a safety manager at Nestle Purina, farmer, board member at Community Christian School and former Fort Dodge police officer. I believe these experiences, and his dedication to put service before self, in service to our community are just the type of well-rounded attributes we need on the Board of Supervisors. I will be casting my vote for Austin Hayek, for District 1 Supervisor, and encourage you to do so as well. State Rep. Ann Meyer Fort Dodge

Impressed by Supervisor Conrad

To the editor: Having watched Niki Conrad serve her first term as the District 4 supervisor for the Webster County Board of Supervisors, I have been particularly impressed with her work ethic, her ability to be transparent and her desire to make a positive difference in the lives of the constituents she serves. Niki is an independent thinker who is willing to discuss any issue with the people with whom she comes in contact and take their opinions into consideration when she decides. One of her passions when she was running for office was to learn to be transparent so her constituents ...
