Aglow International program June 16

Aglow International of Fort Dodge and Surrounding Area will host Judy Hembry at 10 a.m. June 16 at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Hembry will present “Is Your Cup Half Full or is it Half Empty?” In 2016, Hembry was faced with a diagnosis of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was told she could expect to live for approximately four to six months. Yet two years later she is living fearlessly, enjoying life as she continues to spread joy and a message of hope to all who will listen. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.

Summerfest set for Livermore church

LIVERMORE — Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livermore will hold its Summer Fest Celebration on June 16. There will be a Mass at 4:30 p.m., followed by food, children’s games, country store, silent auction, beer garden, raffle and more, from 5 to 8 p.m. The menu includes grilled ribeye steak sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers.

Lifetree topic is about autism’s impact on the lives of affected families

Coping with the challenges of living with autism will be explored at noon and 7 p.m. at Lifetree Cafe at Cana, 18 S. Third St. The program, titled “Living with Autism: A Peek Into a Hidden World,” features a screening of the award-winning short film “Guang”. The film offers a glimpse into the life of two brothers, one with autism, and the struggles they face together. Catholic Daughters of Americas meet June 14

Catholic Daughters of Americas Court 216 monthly meeting will be at 6 p.m. June 14. Mass will be at Corpus Christi Church, 402 N. Eighth St., for the initiation of new officers. Following Mass, dinner will be served at the Corpus Christi Parish Center, 405 N. Eighth St., followed by a business meeting. For dinner reservations, contact Betty Kelly at 573-2512 before noon on Tuesday, June 12. Cost of the meal is $8.

Lehigh Methodist Church Second Sunday Supper June 10

LEHIGH — Lehigh Methodist Church is holding its Second Sunday Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. June 10 at the church in Lehigh. The meal is a pulled pork sandwich, chips and dessert for a freewill offering.
