Swedish meatball supper scheduled

CALLENDER — Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Callender, is holding Women of the Word Swedish meatball supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The menu is Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, coleslaw, dinner roll and pie. Tickets are $10 for fifth grade through adult, $5 for grades kindergarten through fourth and free for preschoolers. Carryout orders will be available.

Faith United Methodist Church to hold turkey dinner

HUMBOLDT — Faith United Methodist Church, Humboldt, will hold its annual turkey dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Morehouse Hall. Carry-outs will be available from 4:30 tp 6:30 p.m. Theree will be two carry-out lines for quicker service. The menu will include turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, Jello salad, rolls, homemade pie and a drink. Tickets are $10 for everyone 13 and above, $5 for children ages 5 to 12 and children under the age of 4 will eat free of charge. Aglow to host “Boundaries” program Saturday

Aglow International of Fort Dodge & Surrounding Area is hosting Elaine Johnston, of Lanesboro, teaching on the subject of “Boundaries” at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. The program will address how to say what you mean, mean what you say and to not be mean when you say it. Johnston is a retired chaplain with degrees in human services, psychology and Christian ministry. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call Kelly at 576-2343.

Catholics Daughters of Americas Court 216 to meet

The monthly meeting of the Catholic Daughters of the America’s Court 216 will be held on Thursday at the Corpus Christi Parish Center. Mass will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a meal, business meeting and a program by Ashley Vaala of the Lotus Community Project. Reservations are required by noon Tuesday by calling Betty Kelly at 573-2512.

St. Olaf to hold Ignite Kickoff

Sonshine Singers to perform Sept. 9

The Sonshine Singers will be providing their Fall Ministry at 4 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Fort Dodge Middle School auditorium, 800 N. 32nd St. Admission is free.
