DAYTON — The McGuire Bend UB Church will hold their annual Fall Supper and Bazaar from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the church, 3138 McGuire Bend Road, in rural Dayton. The menu includes chili, vegetable beef soup, beefburgers, pie, and a drink all for a freewill offering. Auction begins at 7, featuring handcrafts, rugs, baked goods, and much more.

Jenkins is a pastor at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Waterloo. He preached in Fort Dodge for about 14 years.

There will be furniture, linens, toys, kitchen appliances, household goods, clothes and more for sale. A pet blessing service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St. Pets can be brought to the service on leashes or in cages. People are asked to bring lawn chairs for themselves. The service is scheduled to be in the church parking lot, but if it rains it will be held indoors. The service is sponsored by Grace Lutheran Church and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
