Veterans and current members of the military can now get a free $40 store voucher at the Goodwill store in Fort Dodge, according to Goodwill of the Great Plains. The vouchers are part of the Boots to Suits program that continues through Nov. 14. To get a voucher, veterans should go to the Goodwill store at 2735 Fifth Ave. S. Proof of military service, such as a military ID, will be required.
Traffic will be restricted on a portion of North 15th Street today because of road repairs, according to the Fort Dodge Public Works Department. Flaggers will be positioned at 15th Street and 24th Avenue North and 15th Street and 31st Avenue North to direct traffic through the area.
HUMBOLDT — A Humboldt County farmer is one of the beneficiaries of the rural investments President Joe Biden announced Wednesday. John Myers received an $18,656 rural development grant, according to an announcement from the White House. That money will help pay for installing a 22 kilowatt solar array. The president announced more than $5 billion in spending, largely in rural areas.
