The Students in the Arts Foundation reached a 24-year milestone this year, with over 10,000 students being recognized by their instructors for displaying excellence in the performing and visual arts programs in our Fort Dodge Schools. Fort Dodge community schools registration begins July 1

Registration for the 2019-20 school year for the Fort Dodge Community Schools opens online July 1. All returning students must register for school online. Students new to the district must register in person at the Central Administration Building. Parents/guardians should log in to their Infinite Campus Parent account to register their children. Outstanding Student Award winners named

The Fort Dodge Noon Rotary has selected two students as its Outstanding Student Award winners for 2019. This year’s winners are Jacquelyn Oberg, of St. Edmond, and Drake Miller, of Fort Dodge Senior High. Presented to the top senior as voted on by the faculty and staff at each high school, the award is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, leadership and character. Each student will receive a $2,000 scholarship toward tuition and books to the school of their choice. SIOUX CITY — Briar Cliff University hosted its 88th commencement ceremony on May 11. The ceremony honored the university’s 2019 candidates for undergraduate, master’s and doctorate degrees. Miles of Pennies raises $9,056 for Fort Dodge schools
