Otho Fire and Rescue ball April 26

The Otho Fire and Rescue ball is 5 p.m. to midnight April 26 at the Webster County Fairgrounds, 22770 Old Highway 169. Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. with the auction starting at 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $10 and children’s tickets are $5.

Donations requested for Respect for Life rummage sale

St. Edmond Respect for Life Student Group is accepting donations for the annual Respect for Life rummage sale to be held June 6 and 7. The collection times and dates are 3 to 4 p.m. on April 27 and May 4 and 25 at the Corpus Christi Center, 403 N. Eighth St., north entrance. Items requested include baby items, home decor and furniture, functioning appliances and tools. Damaged or stained items cannot be accepted.

Fort Opera House hosting The Brits today

The Brits are coming! The Fort Opera House is proud to present The Brits, tribute band to British Rock and Roll of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, from 7 to 10 p.m. today. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Early bird tickets are $20 and tickets at the door are $25. VIP tables are available for $250, with an upfront table, dedicated server and drink tickets for eight guests. Tickets are available at the Fort Trading Post from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or online at https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/the-brits.

Badger Fire omelet breakfast Sunday

BADGER — Badger Fire and Rescue is holding an all you can eat omelet breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Badger Fire Station. The menu is omelets, toast, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Tickets are $10 per person, children ages 10 and under are free. There will also be a raffle. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of new equipment.

FDPL Brown Bag Briefings Thursdays

The Friends of the Fort Dodge Library announce this spring’s installment of the Brown Bag Briefings. They are held every Thursday at noon in the meeting room of the Fort Dodge Library. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Water, coffee and cookies will be provided. The briefings last one hour and the public is invited to attend. There is no charge for admission. Clare Library Easter egg hunt today

CLARE — The Clare Public Library is having an Easter egg hunt and coloring contest today at the City Park at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Those participating should meet at the library at 9:15 a.m. Eggs to color can be picked up at the library. There will be an open house at the library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with refreshments and door prizes.
