Grace Lutheran rummage sale is May 2 and 3

Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St., is holding a rummage sale from noon to 6 p.m. May 2 and 9 a.m. to noon May 3 at the church. There will also be a bake sale, lunch and silent auction. On May 3, there will be a $2 bag sale at 10 a.m. Cash only. The lunch will be sloppy joes, chips, homemade pie and a drink at The Grace Cafe in the main level Fireside Room, both days. FDPL Brown Bag Briefing Thursday

The Friends of the Fort Dodge Library announce this spring’s installment of the Brown Bag Briefings. They are held every Thursday at noon in the meeting room of the Fort Dodge Library. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Water, coffee and cookies will be provided. The briefings last one hour and the public is invited to attend. There is no charge for admission. DAYTON — Dayton Fire Department is holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 8 to 11 a.m. today at the Community Center, Dayton. Pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs will be served for a freewill donation.
