CCS ninth annual Epic Rummage Sale is today, July 25 and 26

Community Christian School, 2406 9 1/2 Ave. S., is holding its ninth annual Epic Rummage Sale from 8 a.m. to noon today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 25 and 8 a.m. to noon July 26 at the school. On July 26, all tagged items will be half price and all untagged items will be $5 per bag.

FDPL children’s department Adventure is Tuesday

Come join the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday for Bubbles on the Square. Absolute Science is back this summer with its unique, hand-made bubble solution and a wide variety of wands for creating giant, fantastically shaped bubbles. Get ready for some sticky, bubbly fun at the all ages, come and go event on the square. All children must be accompanied by an adult. FDPL holding adult and teen board game nights

Join the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., for a fun time with both classic and new board and card games. There will be a wide variety available, but you’re welcome to bring your own too. With plenty of games to choose from (and tables for multiple games at once), there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Board Game Nights will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, July 21 and Aug. 18, in the large meeting room. ‘Loss of a Spouse’ grief seminar is Aug. 2

A two-hour seminar entitled “Loss of a Spouse” will be 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 2 at First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H. There is no charge for the event. This is a GriefShare program. If you have experienced the loss of a spouse, this seminar may help you through the grieving process. DIY terrarium class Tuesday

What do you get then you combine plants, grass and creativity? Terrariums! Join a class on the miniature ecosystems that have fascinated people for centuries. All ages are welcome. This a family activity, so an adult must accompany children. Webster County Conservation is holding a DIY terrarium class from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. Spots are limited. Registration is required at Mycountyparks.com. The cost is $20 per terrarium.
