St. Edmond junior Ty Mericle placed 10th in a Class 1A district boys golf meet, hosted by the Gaels at Lakeside on Monday. Mericle carded a 78 for the Gaels. “Ty played well, but it just wasn’t quite good enough,” said St. Edmond head coach Matt Dillon. “There are a lot of really good players in the district. “You can see that in the top three.” It was a competitive day all around, as the district team title and the individual championship all went to tiebreakers.
