ESTHERVILLE — The Iowa Central women’s wrestling squad opened their dual season against Iowa Lakes, winning by a final of 37-15.

Aneth Campos (110 pounds), Allie Grow (160) and Mahalia Adams (180) recorded pins. Adams earned her fall against a returning All-American.

Asia Jahangir (124), Annalbelle Petsinger earned technical fall victories. Jordan Buffum won 14-6 at 138. Erica Pastoriza (103) and Sara Warren (117) prevailed via forfeit.

“It was a great way to open the season against a quality team,” ICCC head coach Zak Hensley said. “We had many athletes step up and fill in the lineup, and I couldn’t be prouder of them as a whole.

“We look forward to see where this group is headed.”

The Tritons are back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Missouri Valley Open in Marshall, Mo.
