Honoring a fallen Dodger
Before Friday’s home game with Waterloo East, the Fort Dodge Community School District and Dodger football team recognized 2024 FDSH graduate Isaiah Caldwell. The 19-year-old died on Thursday in a motorcycle accident. Caldwell was an all-district football player for the Dodgers and rugby starter for the Fort Dodge Stags.
The Dodgers wore “IC” stickers on their helmets, and a moment of silence was held before the National Anthem. Caldwell’s old FDSH jersey – shown here in the red number 0 he wore – was displayed behind the Dodger sidelines.
