HERRIMAN, Utah — Fort Dodge junior-to-be Joe Constable recently compiled a 12-3 overall record during 16U National Duals week competing for Team Iowa.

Constable, who placed fifth at the state wrestling meet last February, qualified thanks to his USA state title at 285 pounds in both Freestyle and Greco Roman last month.

Team Iowa took ninth place in Greco at National Duals and sixth in Freestyle. Constable made the all-tournament team for Greco.

A total of 40 states were in action at National Duals in the 16U division. Pennsylvania (Greco) and Wisconsin (Freestyle) were the team champions.

Constable went 42-8 for the Dodgers as a sophomore and became the program’s first heavyweight to medal since 1988. Constable is also a standout lineman for the FDSH football squad, and was on the track team this past spring as well.
