Iowa Central men end three-game skid
CRESTON — The Iowa Central men’s basketball team ended a three-game losing streak with a 65-58 victory over Southwestern on Saturday.
The Tritons (12-10 overall, 6-7 ICCAC) were led by Jordan Cain’s 15 points. Vice Grbic added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Tritons got out to a big lead, taking a 33-18 lead into the locker room. Southwestern picked up the scoring in the second half, out scoring the Tritons, 40-32.
The Spartans (10-14, 4-8) had three players reach double digits. Rickey Loftin and Donnary Fontenot had 11 each, while James Braddy had 10 points.
The Tritons are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Boone to face DMACC. They’ll be back in Hodges Fieldhouse on Saturday against Iowa Western.
