Fort Dodge girls compete in IAC meet

DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge girls track squad placed eighth in the 11-team Iowa Alliance Conference field here on Friday.

Sophomore Ky’Mariana Mosley grabbed bronze in the shot put (34-5), while also earning a fourth-place showing in the discus with a throw of 104-08.

The Dodgers’ shuttle hurdle relay group of Alejandra Manzanilla, LJ Maehl, Mackenzie McIlrath and Maeleena Meyer took fifth in 1:17.14. FDSH’s 4×400 squad of Lilly Davis, Maddie Hoshaw, Lucy Porter and McIlrath (4:26.30) was also fifth.

Hoshaw, a freshman, finished fifth in the 400-meter dash (1:04.52).

Meyer was seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (17.52). Davis was also seventh in the 400 (1:05.25).

Carsyn Zehr crossed in seventh with a time of 2:43.26 in the 800.

Fort Dodge’s 4×100 relay quartet of Ashlyn Wills, Hope Alstott, Meah McCaleb and Ava Wessels took seventh in 54.13.

The Dodgers return to action on Thursday in their state-qualifying meet at Norwalk.
