Kruse leads Jags with 33 points
GOWRIE — Two weeks removed from winning a football state championship, Southeast Valley cruised to an 80-65 victory over Madrid on Thursday night in their boys basketball season opener.
All the Jaguar scoring was done by players from the football team. Class 2A football all-state captain Kolson Kruse had a big opening night with 33 points, including five three pointers.
Future Iowa Hawkeye lineman Aaron Graves added 23 points, while Eli Johnson contributed 10.
