Lynx take command of district

SPENCER — Webster City positioned itself in the driver’s seat for a district title, knocking off Spencer here Friday night, 21-7.

The Lynx held the Tigers to 99 yards of total offense and six first downs in the game as Devon Stoakes recorded eight tackles.

On offense, Jaxon Cherry had 17 carries for 103 yards, CJ Hisler ran for 93 yards and Ty McKinney had 68 yards and two rushing scores.

Hisler also had a 48-yard rushing TD to seal the win.

McKinney was 2-for-3 passing for 33 yards, hitting both Stoakes and Kyzer Stanley on pass completions.

Spencer’s lone points came on a punt return with seven minutes left
