Dodger boys fall on the road

ANKENY — Fifth-ranked (Class 4A) Ankeny Centennial responded to its first loss of the season with an 80-34 win over the Fort Dodge boys here on Tuesday.

The Jaguars (6-1 overall) led 53-15 at halftime and never looked back. Four players reached double figures, led by Caden Kelling’s 15 points.

Centennial lost to third-rated West Des Moines Valley last Friday after five consecutive victories to open the season.

Juinor Carson Peterson had nine points for the Dodgers, with classmate Triston Bockoven adding eight.

Fort Dodge (1-6) returns to action on Friday at home against Marshalltown. The Dodgers then face Grand View Christian on Saturday, also in the FDSH gym.
