SIOUX CENTER — The Humboldt football squad didn’t go away quietly in their final regular season game here on Friday. The Wildcats (4-5 overall, 2-3 Class 3A, District 1) trailed 20-0, but pieced together two straight scoring drives to cut the lead to one possession. The fifth-ranked Warriors (8-1, 4-1) scored two touchdowns within one minute to close out the 34-13 victory and the runner up spot in the district. Golden Bears run for 443 yards

ALGONA — Top-ranked Bishop Garrigan ran the ball all night and never looked back, advancing to the second round of eight-man action on Friday. The Golden Bears (9-0 overall) rushed for 443 yards in a 57-12 win over Kingsley-Pierson. Both Ethan Marso and CJ McGregor accumulated for over 100 yards.
