Wolverines win at home

HUMBOLDT – Humboldt scored late, but couldn’t punch in the two-point conversion, dropping a 43-42 contest to Sergeant Bluff-Luton on Friday night.

The Wildcats (2-5 overall, 1-4 district) scored with 1:15 left, but the two-point conversion pass was tipped away.

Drew Thomas was 15-for-27 passing for 356 yards and three touchdown passes.

He threw a 11-yard and 75 yard touchdown passes to Eli Sande. He also had a 63-yard scoring strike to Devon Clark.

Thomas also had two rushing touchdowns on 15 and 18 yards. Thomas had 68 yards rushing on 15 carries.

Clark had six catches for 170 yards and Sande had five grabs for 163 yards and the two scores.

Wolverines win at home

WEST BEND – West Bend-Mallard cruised to a 58-18 victory over Siouxland-Whiting on Friday.

Dexter Knobloch ran for 104 yards and two scores on eight carries. He had touchdown runs of four and 25 yards.

Thad Fogarty had a six-yard touchdown and Colton Wickman had a four-yard score.

Cole Hoskins added a 10-yard score.

Michael Fehr had a 17-yard touchdown strike to Danny Riesenburg and threw a 48-yard strike to his brother, Brandon.

Juan Falcon had five sacks for the Wolverines (5-2 overall, 3-2 district) on defense.
