Lynx set up title tilt

IOWA FALLS – Webster City did its part to set up a district title showdown next Friday.

The Lynx (7-1 overall, 5-1 district) rushed for 407 yards and turned back the Cadets (3-5, 1-5) 42-7.

Robert Frederiksen once again led the Lynx with 197 yards on 24 carries and three scores. He reached the end zone from four, 13 and 33 yards out.

Quarterback Drew Fielder threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to Zane Carter, the Lynx longest pass completion of the season. Fielder completed the pass with a broken thumb on his throwing hand.

Fielder also scored on a 33-yard run. He finished the night with 117 yards on 15 carries.
