Advocates for others to get vaccinated

To the editor: Recently it was a day of celebration for me and thousands of others when I got my second shot for the virus on May 18, knowing from now on we won’t give this virus to someone we love. After the shot I got the sore arm, but that’s nothing compared to getting the virus and being flat on your back laying in a hospital, looking at four walls with tubes up your nostrils hooked up to a ventilator 24/7. To the editor: Thank you to all who supported the Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club’s recent annual Plants and Treasures sale. An amazing crowd of enthusiastic shoppers bought a large percentage of our plants during the first 45 minutes. To the editor: As a beef producer in Webster County, this is an excellent time to inform everyone that May is Beef Month where we acknowledge those farmers/ranchers who supply us with this wholesome tasty protein source. I had always felt the presence of CJ Bio America, a South Korean-based company, its influence on Fort Dodge’s economy and community activities and its highly-trained South Korean workers would keep our community from harboring any hateful feelings about Asians.
