To the editor:

Once more I write to get the attention of all the people who won’t get vaccinated, thinking they are smarter than a doctor. In the end everyone will get it, it’s a matter of time. Believe me. Your turn is coming. Regardless of what religion you belong to, God cannot stop you from getting this virus. We are so lucky to have prevention to stop it.

Now even 13 year old children can get vaccinated. They can spread the virus as well as their parents. Moreso when school starts this fall. It’s too bad teachers aren’t asked to take the temperature of each kid as they come into their classroom. It only takes a second to do it. I hope at least one half of students are vaccinated by then. It could save lives, I’m sure of it. It’s extremely rare to get COVID-19 for people who are fully vaccinated.

The subject of taking temperatures should be brought up at parent-teacher conferences. Every parent can’t make the meetings, but that’s why it’s important every parent get The Messenger one way or another, or any newspaper. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t learn something new besides all of the sports coverage and comics to cheer you up. I have been reading The Messenger for 70 years. That’s how I learned how to write letters to the editor. You’re never too old to learn.
