Joseph P. “Joe” Mahan, 78, of Humboldt, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt with his daughter at his side. Joseph was born September 10, 1947, in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Paul and Margaret (Tindall) Mahan. He grew up on the family farm south of Graettinger and graduated from Graettinger High School in 1966. Joe enlisted in the United States Army and served his country being stationed in Germany.
