Isaiah Lee Caldwell

Isaiah Caldwell, a beloved son, brother, and friend, was born on October 19, 2005, in Fort Dodge, a community that shaped his life and character. He left this world too soon on September 11, 2025, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Isaiah is survived by his parents Leslie and David Caldwell of Fort Dodge, brothers Caleb and Jacob, grandparents Dave and Joyce Caldwell of Fort Dodge, Lee and Deb Dreyer of Fort Dodge, girlfriend Samantha Smith, aunts and uncles Heather Baedke, and Tiffany Lensch, Cory and Kit Anderson, Troy and Wendy Anderson, Nichole and Brent Klaassen, Kim (Kerry Crouse) Caldwell, Jon Baedke, and Rob Lensch, a host of great uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Sheila Caldwell.

Isaiah attended St. Paul Lutheran School until 6th grade. He was a proud graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School, where he showcased his talents for the Dodgers both on and off the football field, earning First Team All-District recognition during his high school career. He was a remarkable rugby player for STAGS. Isaiah also played basketball for the Dodgers. His passion for sports was matched only by his deep love for the outdoors. Isaiah thrived in nature, reveling in the rush of riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, and finding joy in fishing trips with friends and family. He most recently took his favorite trip to Montana through the mountains with his brothers Caleb and Jacob, and cousin Carson to visit their friend Jake.

Isaiah was immensely proud of the work he did alongside his dad and brothers in the construction field, demonstrating a strong work ethic that inspired those around him. He possessed a kind and gentle spirit, always greeted others with his infectious smile, and forged numerous friendships throughout his life. He was kind, compassionate, caring, sweet, and had the biggest heart.

Family meant the most to Isaiah and his faith in God. He had special relationships with everyone in his family from his grandparents to his cousins, but especially with his parents and brothers. Isaiah gave the best hugs. As we reflect on the beautiful memories Isaiah gifted us, we acknowledge the profound void his departure has created in the lives of family and friends. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering positivity will forever echo in our hearts.

In honor of Isaiah's life, funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 17th, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Kendall Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery just north of Fort Dodge. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Family and friends are all invited to join in celebrating the joy and love he brought into our lives.

Isaiah Caldwell’s legacy will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, reminding us of the precious moments we shared and the love that unites us all. It goes without saying, he was a true inspiration because he didn’t care what the “in” crowd was doing. Isaiah had his own special one liner he liked to say to people — “You will have that.” He lived his life, his way. Isaiah was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
