Norman “Doug” Greenfield
Norman “Doug” Greenfield, 82, of Fort Dodge passed away at his home on Thursday, June 12, 2025 surrounded by his family. Doug’s wish was to be cremated and the family will greet friends at the Community Tap from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Doug was born in Fort Dodge on March 26, 1943 to Norman and Opal (Knigge) Greenfield. He grew up in the Palm Grove & Harcourt area and graduated from Central Webster High School in 1961. Doug was united in marriage to Sharon Erdman on July 18, 1981 and they made their home in Fort Dodge. Over the years Doug worked for Hormel’s, Yellow Freight and after retiring continued to drive truck for Russ’s Construction. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, motorcycle road trips, watching westerns and spending time at the Community Tap.
Doug is survived by his wife Sharon; his son Norman “Chase” Greenfield; three grandchildren; his brother Marc (Jackie) Greenfield and sister-in-law Sharon Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his son Ryan; his parents Norman and Opal; and his brother Larry.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
