DAKOTA CITY — Joseph William Vanderhoff, 66, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on December 26, 2021, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.

Joe is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ellen; children Erika (John) Hansen and Aaron (Carrie) Vanderhoff; grandchildren Morgan, Van, and Harper Hansen and Sylvia Vanderhoff; siblings Frank Vanderhoff, Cathy (Lynn) Bendixen, Mary (Bill) Dawson, Fred (Marsha) Vanderhoff, and Matt Vanderhoff; sisters-in-law Louise (Larry) Hauck-Chinn, Phyllis (Joe) Gehring and Peg Vanderhoff; brother-in-law Herman (Jana) Hauck; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Patrick, Eddie, and Michael; sister Jane Fawcett; brother-in-law Michael Fawcett; and sister-in-law Sandra Vanderhoff.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 31st at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. www.mason lindhart.com
