DONALD ‘DON’ BARNES

BODE — Donald ‘Don’ Barnes, 77, of Bode, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at home surrounded by family following a lengthy illness.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Kenneth, Ronnie, Gary and Terry, and infant grandson Geffrey Donald.

He is survived by his wife Myra, sons Donald Dean (Angela) Barnes of Gilmore City and Larry Johnson of Bode, daughter Delta Dawn Guns of Bode, grandchildren Chester, Symba, Hailey, Donny, Amanda, Bryan, Christofer,

Ethan and Falcon, seven great-grandchildren, his sister Judy Furne of Battle Creek, sister Jolene (Dick) Strick of Schwig, and Rick (Denice) Barnes of Harlan, Iowa.

Visitation will be held March 13, 2021, at 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode with funeral services to begin at 2:00 p.m. Mason-Lindhart Funeral Service will be assisting the family.
