PHYLLIS HALVERSON

Phyllis Halverson, 85, of Fort Dodge, died Aug­ust 23, 2019 at Paula J. Ba­ber Hos­pice Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Tompkins Celebration Center at Friendship Haven. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the Tompkins Celebration Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Phyllis Fuhr was born November 15, 1933 to Andrew and Edith Fuhr in Humboldt County, near Thor. She graduated from Goldfield High School and married Mickey Halverson on October 21, 1952 at the Little Brown Church. They lived in Fort Dodge. Phyllis worked for Qzark Airlines, The Warden Grocery Store, and Trinity Regional Medical Center. She retired in 2002.

Survivors include her husband, Mickey; daughter, Wanda (Steve) Hart; sons, Bernie (Jody) Halverson, Danny Halverson, and Terry (Erin) Halverson; sister, Karen (Dave) Harvey; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Memorials maybe left to the discretion of the family.
