ROCKWELL CITY — St. Paul’s Lutheran and Presbyterian Church will host its Sunday School Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Cake and coffee will be served in the church basement after the program. A freewill offering will be taken. The offering will go to the Hands and Feet of Christ program. There will also be chili and vegetable soup served, with the donations benefiting the Rockwell City/Lytton Inmate Re-entry Team.
St. Olaf Lutheran Church will host a concert of Advent and Christmas music featuring the Jive for Five Brass Quintet, organist Jason Swedlund and tenor Benjamin Wegnar, at 7 p.m. at the church, 239 N. 11th St. The concert is sponsored by the St. Olaf Foundation, is free and open to the public.
The First Presbyterian Church will host “Cookies and Carols” at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 17 at Friendship Haven. Gabriel Avles, director of music at First Presbyterian, will lead the singing of carols, violin students of Jeanette Lawrence will also perform. This will be a great night to get into the holiday spirit. Church members will provide the hot cider, coffee and cookies. The event is free.
The impact of homelessness on children will be explored at noon and 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Lifetree Cafe.
