Trinity UMC rummage sale set
Trinity United Methodist Church, 838 N. 25th St., is holding a rummage and bake sale from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the church.
Election Day soup supper planned
The First Congregational Church, 1611 Williams Drive, will host their annual Election Day Soup Supper from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The menu will include chicken noodle, chili, and vegetable beef soups served with bread, homemade desserts and beverage. Tickets may be obtained prior to Tuesday at the church office at 573-3817 or from church members for $8. You may also purchase tickets at the door that evening if available. Children age 5 and under are free with a parent.
Fall Festival in Humboldt will feature chicken dinner
HUMBOLDT — The St. Mary’s Fall Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 11 at St. Mary’s Parish Hall. There will be a dinner featuring chicken, corn, cole slaw, roll, pie and a drink. The price is $10 for adults. A children’s menu of chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, apple sauce, and a bar will be available for $5. Meals for children age 3 and under will be free. Tickets are available at the door and at Feather My Nest for Less in downtown Humboldt. Takeout meals will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the northeast doors of the school. Laurens UMW Fall Bazaar set for Nov. 17
LAURENS — Laurens United Methodist Women are holding a Fall Bazaar Nov. 17 at the Laurens United Methodist Church. Coffee begins at 9:30 a.m. Booths featuring breads, cookie walk, homemade candies, frozen casseroles, pecan, walnut and cashew nuts, pies, quilts and sewed items, Crafters Corner supplies, and good as new items will open at 10 a.m. Bags of Jumpy Monkey coffee, both ground and whole bean, will also be sold. Noon lunch of creamed chicken and biscuits will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch is $7 for adults and $3 for children 5 and under. The bazaar will close at 1 p.m.
Pork loin dinner planned in Otho
OTHO — The Otho United Methodist Church will hold its annual pork loin dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 3. The menu will consist of pork loin, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, baked beans, cole slaw, rolls, pies and drink.
Ham ball dinner set at Paton church
PATON — Paton United Methodist Church will have a ham ball dinner on Nov. 4. The menu will include ham balls, baked potato, green beans, homemade rolls, salad bar, pie and a drink. The dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The price is $8 for those ages 11 and up, and $4 for those ages 10 and younger. Carry outs will be available.
