Trinity Singers of Trinity United Methodist Church, 838 N. 25th St., will present its annual Christmas Cantata at 5:30 p.m. today and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. This year’s Cantata is titled “The Waiting is the Hardest Part” and will feature the 30-member Trinity Singers as well as various solos by Jason Laird, Roger Netz, Shari Netz, Lilly Johnson, Evan Pratt, Ruth Babbitt and Jacob Shelton. The Swedish St. Lucia Fest will be celebrated Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St., following both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services. St. Lucia, dressed in a white gown and candlelit crown, will visit each fellowship time. Traditional Swedish Christmas treats will be served.
GOWRIE — The Gowrie United Methodist Women will host their annual Christmas Coffee and Bazaar from 8 to 11 a.m. today. Featured will be coffee and baked items, candy, cookie walk, handmade rugs, homemade noodles and craft items.
