First Congregational Church to hold open house

WEBSTER CITY — First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, 1000 Willson Ave., Webster City, is holding an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 16 for viewing of the restored 120-year-old stained glass windows. Coffee and homemade cookies will be served.

CDA Christmas Party Thursday

Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 216 Christmas Party is 6 p.m. Thursday at the Corpus Christi Center, 405 N. Eighth St. The Christmas dinner and a special, fun-filled evening of fellowship will be followed by a short business meeting. No mass will be held. Trinity UMC Christmas Cantata today and Sunday

Trinity Singers of Trinity United Methodist Church, 838 N. 25th St., will present its annual Christmas Cantata at 5:30 p.m. today and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. This year’s Cantata is titled “The Waiting is the Hardest Part” and will feature the 30-member Trinity Singers as well as various solos by Jason Laird, Roger Netz, Shari Netz, Lilly Johnson, Evan Pratt, Ruth Babbitt and Jacob Shelton. Grace Lutheran to celebrate St. Lucia Fest

The Swedish St. Lucia Fest will be celebrated Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St., following both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services. St. Lucia, dressed in a white gown and candlelit crown, will visit each fellowship time. Traditional Swedish Christmas treats will be served.

United Methodist women host Christmas Coffee

GOWRIE — The Gowrie United Methodist Women will host their annual Christmas Coffee and Bazaar from 8 to 11 a.m. today. Featured will be coffee and baked items, candy, cookie walk, handmade rugs, homemade noodles and craft items.

Lehigh Methodist Church plans supper

LEHIGH – The Lehigh Methodist Church will hold its Second Sunday Supper from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 9. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage links.
